BB Essentials: Frank Body

September 11, 2015

Hey Babes!

Let’s take a moment to realize that this is the first post I haven’t had to apologzie for being late! (applause)

Anyway, onto the post.

Have any of you heard of Frank?

No? Well your’e about to…..

First, this is not a sponsored post. I bought all of these products myself and these are my objective opinions on teh product.

Okay, so background on the brand. Frank body products are basically all natural and made with coffee (yes, you heard me right….coffee). Coffee can improve bloodflow if scrubbed on your skin, which can help with cellulite, acne, and other skin issues.

Frank basically combines coffee with other great ingredients (eg. coconut oil) to make awesome body scrubs, facial products, and moisturizers.

So, basically, when I buy things from a brand (at least with body/skin products) I tend to buy THE ENTIRE line. Frank has these great bundles that combine all of their products together, so of course I HAD to get the Skin Bundle and the Scrub Bundle.

I LOVE, like really LOVE these products! (and I love the “dirty” sayings on the boxes and products 😉 )

Let me first tell you about the face products (since they are Frank’s newest products)

First…..The Face Wash.

Its main ingredients are green coffee bean extract, marshmallow root and echinacea extract, charcoal, and a bunch of oils (coconut, grape seed, and sweet almond). The coffee fights acne and eczema, the marshmallow root and echinacea fight dry skin, the charcoal draws out dirt and impurities and gets rid of the nasty things on your skin, and the oils are both hydrating and anti inflammatory.

I’ve been using this face wash 1-2 times per day (because I use another derm. wash at night) and I really love it. It is non-drying, which is a huge plus cause my skin is so f*cking temperamental.

I’m actually surprised this didn’t react badly with my skin cause my skin has SOOO many problems (comment if you want a post on my full skin care regime).

The second product…. The Creamy Face Scrub.

This is an update of their original scrub, adapted for the delicate skin on your face. It has freshly ground coffee, white clay, rosehip oil, and the oils from the face wash. The white clay is detoxing and helps nourish and clean your skin. It also helps remove dead skin.

I’ve been using this once a week (you’re supposed to use it 2-3 times, I just foung this out). You leave it on for 3 minutes (or so) and just wash it off after. I love this scrub because it’s so gentle but gets the job done.

Third product…..Everyday Face Moisturizer.

It’s a light moisturizer that is really soft and moisturizing, without leaving your skin oily.

I have been using this every morning (I don’t use moisturizer at night, most of the time, or I use a heavier one. It depends what season it is.) It contains green coffee extract, cocoa and shea butters, vitamin E, and the oils that are in all the face wash products. The cocoa and shea butters hydrate your skin and are really lightweight, so you don’t feel like something is coating your face and clogging your pores (I hate that feeling). The vitamin E reduces free radicals (goodbye aging!) and targets all skin problems.

Basically, these skincare products are my holy grail and my absolute FAVORITE things in the entire world.

Now, onto the body products.

Okay, So I got three products with the Body Bundle.

I want to talk about the Original Scrub first (because it’s their original product that was first introduced by Frank). This scrub is my FAVORITE product that I bought in these two bundles.

It is a coffee scrub, with a bunch of REALY AWESOME stuff mixed in. Plus the coffee, it contains sweet almond oil (cold pressed for extra benefits), vitamin E, sea salt, and brown sugar. The almond oil hydrates and has no extra ingredients to keep it fresh (cause it’s COLD PRESSED!). The vitamin E fights off aging and free radicals. the sea salt reduces inflammation and removes dry skin.

Putting coffee on your skin and scrubbing with it has been show to reduce cellulite and strech marks because it stimulates blood flow and skin repair.

I’ve been using this scrub (switching off with the coconut one) once a week. Let me just say, if you are looking for a quick and easy scrub…..This is NOT for you!

You turn off the water and scrub yourself with this and then let it dry for 5-10 minutes. I love this part because your literally smell like coffee. Your whole shower gets INSANELY dirty so, remember to wash your shower down afterward. You wash it off and your skin feels smooth as a baby’s butt (literally….like a newborn’s A**).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell of coffee so this is OBVI my favorite scrub in the world.

Quick note: Frank says to be careful with this scrub if your have REALLY sensitive skin (which I do) but I had no problem with this. However, do a patch test first if you are unsure.

The second product is the Coconut Scrub. This is a more sensitive skin friendly verison of the original scrub (or, if you are me, just a really great smelling coconut scrub that you bought for no apparent reason)

This scrub has the same ingredients as the original, but it adds coconut flakes and coconut oil in to soothe and clarify your skin. I like the scent of this one a little bit more (because i’m f*cking OBSESSED with anything coconut. Read my COCONUT OIL post for more information on how much I FREAKIN LOVE coconut oil).

This scrub does leave your skin a little bit more oily than the original so, if you’re not into that, then the original will probably suit your fancy (felt like that language was needed).

Fun Fact: Frank also has a cocoa bean scrub and a peppermint scrub that I have yet to try (will post on this if I get them).

The third and final product is the Body Balm.

This is a body moisturizer that I use after the scrub and just when my skin feels dry. The directions say to use it everyday or in between scrubs, but I don’t follow rules (and it comes in a kind of small tube so, I don’t want to waste any).

It has coconut oil, grape seed and almond oils, coffee arabica seed oil, and beeswax in it. The oils are all super hydrating and anti-inflammatory. The coffe seed oil stimulates blood flow (goodbye cellulite, acne, and any other skin problem). the beeswax protects your skin with a coating that shields your skin from the outside elements, keeping your skin nice and soft.

This lotion is amazing and does leave residue, so let it dry before you do anything or go anywhere. (Just found out they have a body cream, so I will post on that if I purchase it also)

I REALLY LOVED these products. My heart goes out to Frank and thanks him for solving basically all my skin problems.

I enjoy my dirty time with Frank everytime I get in the shower 😉 .

Now, I’m not going to tell any of you to go out right now and buy both bundles of Frank product (cause I don’t sell things here on my blog) but, if you are interested, head over to their website and do some research on the products. I love them so…. but you have to make up your own mind on whether you want to buy them or not. They may not have the same appeal or affect that they have for me.

Have any of your tried Frank? What was your experience? Any other skincare secrets i’m missing out on? Comment if there are?

I love hearing from all of you!

I will be posting again soon!
