So, if you have ever read my blog, you know that I’ve never put my actual image on LBH.
My “What’s Up?” post talks a little about this (click HERE to read that post)
Here’s the dealio.
I was raised in a family where privacy is like a really important gift and privilege. When I started LBH, I definitely wanted to put my image and name on it, but I was hesitant for that reason.
What I decided to do was to wait and see how much following and momentum the blog picked up, and then go from there.
Well, as I kept with it, I noticed something. While I had a fair amount of followers (love you babes!), I wasn’t seeing as much continuous growth. You all love my writing and I love writing for you babes!
I did some research and asked some other bloggers about this image factor. The results were as expected.
I found out that readers find it hard to identify with someone who they know nothing about. This was only part one of my issue.
The other thing I realized was that I could not post as much as I wanted to, on the blog or social media.
It wasn’t because I didn’t want to, but because I had to keep all things with my image private. If you think about it, this is very limiting. Think about instagram, snapchat, and just blogging in general. It’s really hard to keep your image off things that are photo-based.
Especially Snapchat (Sorry I’ve been absent on this, babes!)
Anyways, fast-forward to today. After a little over a year of blogging, I’ve finally decided to share my image and name with you babes!
Because I’ve figured out that this is actually something I want to invest a lot of time in and I love writing for you babes! It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
So, without further procrastination….
(Thanks to Bri, from The Brunettes Diary, for an AMAZING photo shoot!)
Hey babes! My name is Miranda.
I am beyond thrilled to be taking this step with you all! Keep in mind, you all already know a lot about me (just based on how I write and the posts I’ve written), but now you can put a face to the name.
This also means more posting and social media updates. It also makes things so much easier, on my end. I hated having to keep certain things out of my posts and basically censoring them, in terms of my privacy.
I look forward to posting more for you babes!
P.S: The Skincare Routine post will be up in a few days, as will some other content (so excited about so many things right now!)
