#SquadGoals: The Types of Friends That Everyone Needs

October 18, 2016

Hey there Babes!

So, this is going to be a different kind of post.

LBH is usually very beauty and fashion focused but, today, I want to focus on more of a life topic.

I want to focus on friends!

No, not the popular TV series, that everyone knows and loves.

I’m talking about the people who you’re closest to. The people who know you inside and out. The people who are always there for you, no matter what kind of sh*t you’re in.

Now, there are all different kinds of friends, but i’m going to talk about the MOST IMPORTANT ones.

When you first met this friend, she probably looked really shy and sweet. She probably looked like she wouldn’t harm a fly. Honestly, the first part is true…..not so much the second one. This friend will always be on your side and give you unconditional support. She’s probably the shyest one in your friend group, and probably the nicest. Don’t let that innocence fool you, though. While this friend would NEVER do anything to hurt you in a million years, if someone else messes with you, this friend will step into the ring and take them down. Once she gets close enough to people, she never wants to see them hurt and will stick by them forever. She may be hesitant to speak up, when she is mistreated, but not when her friends are. She is a friend for life, and will stick by you, no matter what.

This friend is fiercely loyal and supportive, like the friend above, but that’s where the similarity ends. If you’re having an argument with someone, but you are clearly in the wrong, this friend will point that out. This friend is completely honest and blunt, but don’t confuse this with an un-caring nature. It’s not that she doesn’t care about your feelings, she’s just not going to tip-toe around them. This is an AMAZING quality. Some people will keep the truth from you, for fear of your reaction or feelings. This friend will never do that and will always tell you the truth. As for lies and secrets, this friend does not have time for any of that. She does not have the time or effort to lie to any of her friends. You should really hold on to this friend.

Every girl needs a good guy friend. It’s just a fact. All those endless talks with your girl-friends, about what that text from the guy you like means, could be eliminated by just talking to this one friend. He will be able to tell you what a guy is thinking and what his actions mean. This guy is also extremely loyal, protective, and kind. He may seem a little blunt sometimes, but that’s only because he would rather things be clear and out in the open. If you call him about a guy bothering you, he’s probably already in his car with 5 of his friends coming to set the idiot straight. Anyone that makes you cry had better hope he doesn’t find them. He will always be there for you, ready with a shoulder to cry on and instinct to get rid of your enemies.

You’ve known her for at least 5 years (or it feels like you have) and you’re basically related. This friend is probably the MOST IMPORTANT FRIEND you will ever have. This friend knows everything about you and has been through so much with you. If you’re having any kind of problem, no matter where or what time, they are only a text away. You probably feel like something’s missing, when you’re apart for too long. She will never lie to you and will always be there for you. She is very loyal and caring. I mean, it would be pointless to decide not to be loyal now, after so many long years of friendship. There is little to no possibility that this friend will ever leave your side.

Those are, in my opinion, the most important people to have in your life.

For those of you who are wondering, yes! I have first-hand experiences with each of these friend types. All the traits I have described are those of my actual friends.

I have also seen other people’s versions of these friends, but they all usually fall under the same categories.

Always appreciate your friends and never let the good ones go!
